They say change is constant and with that, change is coming to a Fall River establishment.

As proud owners of INSA hookah lounge/restaurant on Federal Hill in Rhode Island, Sama and Omar Abbas expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to introduce themselves and their new establishment, Casa Bar & Grill, coming soon to Fall River inside St. John’s Athletic Club at 1365 Rodman Street.

“As a family of business owners, we take immense pride in the hard work and dedication we’ve poured into creating a truly unique dining experience. We’re firm believers in respect, integrity, and warm hospitality, and we’re passionate about serving authentic cuisine with a flavorful twist. Our cozy restaurant will blend classic American favorites with traditional Portuguese dishes, bringing together warm hospitality and bold, comforting flavors in every bite.”

“We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for the warm welcome Fall River has given us, and we can’t wait to open our doors on June 23rd and become a part of your vibrant community.”

Executive Chef Joey Medeiros previously announced in April that Olimpio’s was moving from St. John’s to a new yet unnamed location. Olimpio’s opened at St John’s in early February.

St. John’s issued a statement in response to the departure of Olimpio’s and social media chatter.

“The board at St. John’s has always been honest and upfront with all our renters. They all sign a lease that they have agreed to with lawyers. We have given each renter either breaks with rent or buying equipment. Our survival is our alcohol sales. That’s how we can continue to keep our doors open. That’s why our rent is less than most rents. We are so happy for those who have started with us and moved on to be successful and thrived. We are excited to start a new chapter with Casa Bar and Grill who have business experience. Who can also insure us to be greater. Thank you to all who continue to support us and understand this is a tough business and we’re trying and will continue.”

Along with the addition of Casa, there have also been changes to the dining room at St. John’s including new booth seating.
