Despite social media rumors, Fall River restaurant not closing for good, just for remodeling
Despite some rumors on social media, a Fall River restaurant isn’t closing for good, only temporarily, and for good reason.
Towne House Restaurant Complex/ Douro Steakhouse has told Fall River Reporter that Douro is closing for some repairs and remodeling and will re-open on May 28th.
Towne House, which opened in the heart of the coronavirus pandemic, is a high-end, authentic Portuguese-inspired restaurant complex featuring Douro Steakhouse, HoneyBee Cafe, and the exclusive members only Cigar Loft. The cafe and cigar loft will remain open during the Douro remodeling.
In addition to the remodeling, Towne House is also looking to hire bartenders and servers. You can contact them at (508) 493-9548.
In 2022, husband and wife team and local residents Paul Filogenio and Ariane Filogenio purchased the ownership stake of the complex from prior co-owner Jenny Fernandes-Correia. Longstanding Fall River restaurateur Luis Bettencourt has been part owner from its inception.
