Despite listing being pulled, Fall River’s Patti’s Pierogis still for sale, still open for business as usual

One of Fall River’s most popular restaurants who has been listed for over 2 years, is still hoping the right buyer will carry on the tradition.

When Guy Fieri uttered “I’m in pierogi paradise” on his popular Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives” in 2012 after biting into a cabbage and pork pierogi at Patti’s Pierogis at 1019 South Main Street, he was stating something many city residents already knew with more delicious options than you can count.

So delicious that in 2019, Bill Murray, who is known for his stint on Saturday Night Live and his long list of hit movies including Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, and Caddyshack, stopped by Patti’s with Peter Farrelly who has partnered with his brother Bobby to produce, write, and direct comedies such as Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something About Mary, and Green Book.

After years of serving the public tasty polish cuisine, owner Patti Geary announced that despite loving every minute of her experience, that she was looking for the right person to buy the restaurant and carry on the business she has successfully built.

The asking price for this well-known, established restaurant and building which includes the dining room, full-service kitchen, office spaces in the finished basement, the business, equipment and a full liquor license was previously listed for $590,000. Fall River Reporter had noticed that the listing had been pulled and contacted Geary to see if Patti’s had been sold.

“We are not sold and still open for business as usual. We will look in the future to list it again.  It is still for sale.”

I think I can speak for most of us that we hope someone will help carry on Patti Geary’s restaurant legacy so she can experience the retirement that she deserves while the rest of us can still taste the fruit of her labor.
