Dartmouth Police warn of dangers of sparklers with July 4th approaching
With July 4th fastly approaching, the Dartmouth Police Department is sharing disturbing images to serve as a painful reminder of the dangers associated with any type of pyrotechnic.
A good friend of someone from the department recently took these pictures of his hand after being the victim of an unfortunate accident involving sparklers.
While lighting a few of them in one hand at a function, something went terribly wrong and this was the end result.
DPD wanted to remind the public that from a simple match to the most powerful firework (which are illegal in Massachusetts), fire can do a considerable amount of damage to the human body.
