On Friday, October 6, 2017, members of the Dartmouth Police Department Detective Division, with the assistance of members of the Fairhaven Police Department Detective Division, executed a search warrant at #38 Beechwood Drive, Dartmouth, Massachusetts, in connection with a Dartmouth Police Department narcotics investigation.
During the search, detectives seized 200 grams of suspected Fentanyl, along with Suboxone, scales and packaging material.
As a result, Dartmouth Police arrested Ryan WOOD, 26, and charged him with trafficking Fentanyl (200+ grams), possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug in a school zone and possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug (Suboxone).
In a statement from acting Chief of Police Brian LEVESQUE, “I am very proud of the efforts put forth by my detectives. Not only did they take $20,000 worth of a very dangerous drug off of the street, but they also most likely saved numerous lives in the process of doing so.”
