Dartmouth man sentenced to prison in Fall River after pleading guilty to drug possession and drug trafficking charges

DARTMOUTH, MA – A local man has been sentenced in Fall River Superior Court on drug charges.

28-year-old Daarnez Ramos pled guilty to drug possession and drug trafficking charges and was sentenced to not less than 3 years 6 months, but not more than 5 years in prison.

According to Dartmouth Police, in March of this year, members of the Dartmouth Police Department Investigative Services Division, with the assistance of Massachusetts State Troopers assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at a residence on Cove Road in Dartmouth.

During their search, detectives located approximately 30 grams of suspected powder cocaine, approximately 3 grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately 5 grams of suspected Fentanyl, and 10 Suboxone strips. In addition, $955 and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia was seized.

Detective Cristina Brum conducted the months-long investigation, with the assistance of other detectives assigned to the Dartmouth Police Community Impact Unit.
