Dartmouth home destroyed in morning blaze
Firefighters battled a major fire in the town of Dartmouth this morning.
A call came into dispatch at approximately 11:15 a.m. for a house fire at 817 Reed Road.
Dartmouth firefighters arrived on scene to discover heavy smoke and flames.

Just after 11:30 a.m., Dartmouth Police warned residents that as a result of the fire, Reed Road between Route 195 and State Road was closed.
Hot spots were still being addressed early this afternoon.
No injuries were reported, but the blaze left 16 people and several pets displaced that were being assisted by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
