Dartmouth Fire Department responds to heavy fire with explosions that injured 1

Firefighters responded to an early morning fire in Dartmouth on Tuesday.

At approximately 1:00 a.m. a call came into dispatch for a fire on Sagamore Drive.

Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire and smoke.

Multiple explosions could be heard at the scene.

According to Boston 25, 1 resident was transported to Saint Luke’s Hospital with burns but there were no injuries to firefighters.

The bomb squad was called to inspect the garage, and the fire is under investigation.
