Dartmouth crash leaves two seriously injured Friday
DARTMOUTH, MA – On Friday, July 27 at approximately 10:29 a.m., Dartmouth Police, along with other emergency personnel, responded to the area of Old Westport Road at Cross Road to investigate a two vehicle crash involving a 2015 Chevrolet pickup and a 2008 Ford F250 pickup.
As a result of the crash, the operator of a 2015 Chevrolet, identified as Richard DeCosta, 75, of Division Road, Dartmouth, and his passenger, identified as Andrea DeCosta, 75, of Division Road, Dartmouth, were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
The operator of the 2008 Ford, identified as Brent Bonneau, 31, of Morton Avenue, Dartmouth, refused medical treatment at the scene.
Traffic was detoured in the area of UMass Dartmouth for several hours.
The crash is currently under investigation by members of the Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit.
No further information regarding the extent of injuries is available at this time.
