North Kingstown, RI – Crews rescued multiple people after a Saturday afternoon plane crash.
According to police, at just before 3:00 p.m., emergency responders from the North Kingstown Police and Fire Departments mobilized in response to a distress call reporting a plane crash in Narragansett Bay.
Upon arrival to the area, authorities found a single-engine aircraft submerged in the waters of the Bay. The pilot and passenger, both identified as 48-year-old individuals, had managed to extricate themselves from the aircraft and were in the water nearby.
