Crews find abandoned vehicle, dead body, near southeastern Massachusetts beach
Authorities are investigating after a dead body was found washed up near a southeastern Massachusetts beach.
Just after 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, a call came in for a body floating in the water at White Horse Beach in Plymouth in the area of Boathouse Lane.
Upon arrival, crews found a man washed up near the shore. Two responders put on a survival cold weather suit and walked into the water to retrieve the body. He was determined to be deceased on scene.
The man’s name has not yet been released by officials according to Boston 25 News.
In addition to the body, a vehicle was found abandoned in the area where the man was located.
No foul play is suspected at this time.
Plymouth police with assistance from Massachusetts State Police assigned to the DA’s office are investigating.
