UPDATE: Cress Brook Drainage Project leads to several days of pending road, lane closures
Update: According to Paul Ferland, Fall River Deputy Administrator-Community Utilities, due to weather that has delayed construction the No. Eastern Ave and New Boston Road intersection closure has been moved from November 1st and 2nd to November 5th and 6th. This will affect all southbound traffic on No. Eastern ave as well as all traffic turning west on to new Boston Road from No. Eastern Ave. It will also affect all traffic Heading east on New Boston Road as they will not be able to access No. Eastern Ave.
Work on the Cress Brook Drainage Project will continue on No. Eastern Avenue starting on Monday October 29th. Construction will be occurring in the south bound travel lanes between the President Avenue rotary and New Boston Road. This section of road will be closed when the construction requires it. The work is expected to take three weeks to complete. Residents will have access to their properties during this time.
Due to weather conditions and the type of construction taking place, the dates may be adjusted. Effort will be made to make residents aware of any changes.
Ferland asks motorists to follow detour routes and your co-operation is appreciated.
