Coventry Police get surprise when arresting resident on warrant
COVENTRY, RI – On February 2, 2019 Coventry Police Department placed Briant Jimenez, 28 years old, of 379 Arnold Road into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant for Domestic Simple Assault. Officers discovered a large marijuana grow in the basement of the residence, and subsequently applied for a court-authorized search warrant for the residence.
During the search, detectives located the following items: 189 Marijuana Plants, 1 pound 5 ounces of processed marijuana, unprocessed marijuana, $5,621 US currency, a loaded .32 Caliber Pistol stored behind the front door, packaging materials, and a digital scale.
Jimenez was arraigned on charges of Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana at Kent County Courthouse on February 4, 2019 at 9:00 AM. Bail was set at $5,000 with surety.
