Community rallying behind Massachusetts veteran after losing wife and young child in 10 months
A community is coming together to support a veteran from Massachusetts who has experienced tragedy twice in just 10 months.
In July of last year, Marine Veteran, Joseph Sette of Brockton, lost the love of his life, 24-year-old Brittney Sette.
Brittney was a mom to their two young sons Joey and Jaxson and was an aspiring hair stylist. While she battled through her struggles to be a good mother and wife, she lost her long battle with mental illness, according to family.
Friends and family say that Joseph is now experiencing a second tragedy that could possibly be even more difficult than the first.
Recently, he lost his precious and youngest son, Jaxson, suddenly. While details on Jaxson’s death were not available, those who know Joseph say the loss has left him struggling to find the strength to move forward.
Due to these tragedies, a friend has created a GoFundMe fundraiser with the family’s knowledge to pay for funeral/memorial expenses, family counseling, and financial assistance.
Joseph has requested to not be contacted directly, as he is very overwhelmed and trying to process all that has transpired.
Services for Jaxson have not yet been announced.

Seriously you’re so bored? That’s what you took out of the story? You’re afucking world, renowned editor? Probably not, I’m assuming, like any other normal human reading that story, that you are some bored derelict sitting on a couch with nothing better to do than say something so stupid. Sad that your excitement in life would be Pointing out someone’s grammatical errors(If you even know what that means) In someone’s story😉
Missed the point didn't ya

Maybe they shouldn’t be looking at this like an accident! They should be looking into what he did to them!

Considering the fact that there is not a lot of info released about this situation, the family themselves confirmed on going mental health struggles with this beautiful soul and no info is released on their youngest son.. For example Could have been a car accident someone hit the car he was in head on. Studies show people with mental health struggle who commit suicide often get quiet about their intent to commit suicide before they do it there also higher risk of abusing substances with mental health illnesses as well, which could put you in a different state of mind not realizing what you’re doing at the time of it. Opinions like that we ought to keep to ourselves. Not everyone is a Chris Watts. I can only imagine the tremendous pain and loss this family is feeling at the moment without having to deal with ignorance like this. That’s like me saying that because two of your closest family members died 10 months apart I recommend police looking in what you did to them. And what grounds would I have to make that assumption based on the same bit of info listed in this article? None!

Maybe you shouldn’t jump to ridiculous, false accusations about a man whose life has been torn apart when you don’t know the details. I happen to know this family and there was absolutely no foul play involved at all. Please think before you comment.

You’re an awful human to even remotely think this about a stranger.

People like you are the reason I’m pro-choice. You’re such a horrible scum sucking piece of filth and I hope you lose everyone in your life that you’re close to.

That was your first thought? Probably projection on your part. You should be ashamed of yourself. Joe is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and I can’t even begin to imagine how he’s been shouldering all of this. People like you never seem to care that your words and actions have impact. For all you know, this could have been the comment that sends him over the edge. Develop a heart and keep this kind of s*** to yourself, you monster.

If the wife was struggling with mental illness for a long time, suicide is a definite possibility. Look at that 30-year-old golf pro who committed suicide the day before he was to compete. We made a big mistake when we closed the mental institutions. Now we have c******** walking the streets and wreaking havoc, and we have a demonstrated lack of mental health resources to save people such as Brittney. It’s a very sad state of affairs in a country that’s supposed to be an example for the rest of the world. November can’t come fast enough.

Please don’t refer to them as crackpots. They don’t want to be that way.

I agree we have gone so far left we cant see the damage caused by doing so. Mental illness has always been around the difference is we have closed all the facilities that housed and cared for those who need it. There are many who cannot function in the world without medication (which we created a dependency on) or close supervision so now they walk and live among us is society. The repercussion random violence stabbings shootings and show downs with authorities. Its not the knife or gun or authority that commits the crime it is the unbalanced unstable person who should not be in society to commit these horrible crimes if your so concerned with rights then lets do something as a society and reel these people in they will never fit in no matter what rights you think you are providing to them all you are doing is setting society up for mote family and social violence there is no end to it we stay on the same path

How about no one have an opinion? There are families grieving over this loss. Despite what many of y’all may think or believe, commenting is not helping. Are you donating? Are you sharing? No? Then keep it to yourselves. I ain’t know none of yall and yall ain’t know me, but I know the family in this article and respecting, regardless what some editor or news writer has to say, is what needs to be shown. Leave them in peace. If you have no gone to through a loss as similar or as close to a family who has, then be quiet.

Before any donations are given, we must know the details of the babies death. I am not saying we need all the details but we need something. Was it accidental, medical, sudden, was the baby sick from birth? Crib death? It’s such a sad story and I empathize with the husband, brother and extended family. I hope God has a plan and watches over this baby with his love and grace! 🙏

No, you do not need to know the details of the baby’s death. If the family wanted that information publicly available, it would be.
