A community protest has been organized after a Rhode Island woman was found dead on Monday.

Erica Bader, a 24-year-old woman from Central Falls, was found deceased in a wooded area of Pawtucket prompting a multi-agency investigation that led to the arrest of six individuals connected to the case.

According to WJAR 10, authorities, including Central Falls Police, determined her body had been moved to Central Street after she died elsewhere, classifying the death as suspicious; the exact cause remains under investigation.

34-year-old Joshua Brunelle Arnold, 22-year-old Christopher Kordalewski, 40-year-old Elizabeth Durand, 28-year-old Andrew Cornell, 37-year-old Stephanie Bletzer, and 34-year-old Brittney Terpening, all from Central Falls, face a charge of failure to report a death. Terpening, who was Bader’s roommate, also faces a domestic felony assault charge. All 6 were arraigned and released on bail.

A JUSTICE FOR ERICA BADER Community Protest for Accountability has been organized for Saturday, November 1st at 6:00 p.m. in front of the Central Falls Police Station.

“We’re gathering to demand justice and accountability for the death of Erica Bader — a woman police knew for months was being beaten and held against her will yet failed to protect. Their inaction cost her life. We will not stay silent while those sworn to serve and protect ignore cries for help. Our community deserves answers, transparency, and change. Bring candles, signs, and your voice. Let’s stand together — peacefully, powerfully, and united — to say: No more silence. No more neglect. Justice for Erica Bader.”

Police say they conducted a well-being check in April, but did not locate her.

Bader was described by those who knew her as a sweet and innocent soul.
