Community coming together to support Plymouth County family after 16-year-old dies unexpectedly

A community is once again coming together to support a Massachusetts family in their time of need.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, on Thursday, Sam Losordo of Whitman passed away unexpectedly at just 16 years old due to a genetic heart condition.

“Sam was one of the kindest and sweetest kids you could ever meet who filled every room with his humor, warmth, and creativity. He loved gaming with his friends, sketching bold and expressive drawings, and had only recently taken up the guitar, which he was already playing with natural ease.”

The fundraiser has raised just over $10,000 as of this writing for a memorial service to honor Sam, outstanding emergency and ambulance bills, and immediate support for Sam’s mother Jessica, stepfather Carlos, and his sisters Jane, and Hazel as they grieve.

Services have not yet been announced.
