Community coming together to help Foxborough couple after 4-month-old daughter passes away
A young Massachusetts family is experiencing a terrible tragedy which has led those who know them to help ease the struggle they are facing.
4-month-old Quin Katherine McGovern of Foxborough passed away on Sunday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Quin’s mother Jill expressed her unthinkable loss on social media.
“Our hearts are broken in ways we never thought possible. Our beautiful baby girl, Quin, has been taken from us far too soon, and we are completely lost in a grief we can’t put into words. She was our whole entire world, our reason for everything, and now there’s a silence in our life that is unbearable.
“In her short time with us, Quin filled our lives with so much love, joy, and light. We will forever cherish every smile, every tiny moment we shared, but the pain of not holding her in our arms again is something we can’t comprehend.
“We ask for your prayers and strength as we face this unimaginable loss. Hug your little ones close, hold them tight, and treasure every single moment. Life is so fragile, and we never know how much time we have.
“Quin, our sweet girl, you will always be a part of us. We love you more than words can ever say, and we will carry you in our hearts forever and ever.”
Those who know Jill, and Quin’s father Kevin, have organized a GoFundMe fundraiser to help ease the burden of expenses and lost wages which has raised over $42,000 as of this writing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Quin’s visitation on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Margaret Mary’s Church, 845 High Street, Westwood, on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the New Westwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Quin’s name may be made to Norwood Circle of Hope Foundation, P.O. Box 421, Norwood, MA 02062 or by visiting https://norwoodcoh.org/
