Cleaning and sweeping operations on the Braga Bridge in Fall River, Somerset to cause lane/shoulder closures
FALL RIVER/SOMERSET- The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced it will be performing drainage structure cleaning and sweeping operations on the Braga Bridge in Fall River and Somerset.
The work will be conducted tonight, Tuesday, July 25, and on Wednesday, July 26, during overnight hours from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning. All work is anticipated to be completed by 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 27.
The work will require the temporary lane and shoulder closures on I-195 eastbound and westbound. Only one travel lane will be taken at any time. A minimum of two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times.
Traffic will be maintained using standard traffic control measures and state police details.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
