City of Fall River’s Community Development Agency to open Extreme Cold Weather Temporary Shelter

FALL RIVER, MA- On Sunday, the First Step Inn in collaboration with the City of Fall River’s Community Development Agency will open the Extreme Cold Weather Temporary Shelter from 4:00pm through 8:00am Monday, December 15, 2025, in their first-floor conference room at 134 Durfee Street.

Anyone in need of assistance with their emergency shelter needs is urged to call 508-67-6-3528 the FAST Response Team’s 24-hour homeless hotline. Street outreach workers from the City of Fall River will be able to assist with transportation and will staff the shelter overnight along with several other local social service agencies and the City’s Emergency Medical Services Division.
