City of Fall River taking bids to replace existing playground equipment at city park

The City of Fall River, in coordination with the Community Development Agency, has just announced that they are seeking sealed bids from General Contractors for proposed playground renovations at Columbus Park on Wall Street.

This project aims to enhance community recreational facilities in alignment with the agency’s mission to improve local infrastructure and public spaces.

The scope of work will include the removal of existing playground equipment and the installation of new playground equipment. The project will be guided by drawings and specifications prepared by William Starck Architects, Inc.

The estimated project cost is $175,000.

The contract will be performed following the bid opening on June 12, 2025, with a timeline to be determined based on contractor availability and project requirements.

Sealed BIDS must be received no later than 2:00pm, Thursday, May 23, 2024, to Purchasing, 1 Government Center, Room 324, Fall River, MA 02722. The opening will be witnessed, and the bids will be read aloud. 

Responses may be hand-delivered or mailed to the Purchasing Department: 

Monday thru Thursday: 8:00am-4:00pm Friday: 8:00am-3:00pm
