Mayor Paul Coogan, members of the Homeless and Street Outreach Teams, and
community members reopened a Fall River plaza on Wednesday.

The Gerald “Jerry” Lawton Plaza at the corner of South Main Street and Anawan Street has been transformed.

The plaza is somewhere for all to enjoy and be reminded of the great work that Lawton did within the community to provide shelter and love for those in need.

The plaza was originally opened in 1993, one year after his passing.
