The Fall River Reporter should update this noise memo to its readers. Provide readers with the exact verbiage. I have studied the City of Fall River’s ordinances as if I wrote them. I Have also focused my attention on the State noise ordinances too.
I have quieted my street from vehicles sitting and idling, while playing loud music.
The city of Fall River noise ordinance can be located at ecode360.com. Fall River Ordinance 70-9 states: Music devices creating excessive noise, parking vehicles so as to deprive the public of lawful access.
(A) No person shall park or operate a vehicle or motorcycle upon any street while having a sound or music device playing at such a volume so as to disturb persons living in the
neighborhood where such motor vehicle or motorcycle is parked or traveling.
(B) No person shall park an automobile and/or motorcycle in any way or place where the public has the right of access as invitees or licensees so as to intimidate the public and deprive them of their lawful use, either by the noise created BY MECHANICAL or ELECTRICAL MEANS or by trespass.
The hours of excess noise are (according to state law) referring to the operating of equipment, e.g. lawnmowers and other mechanical devices. State law is even more extensive in explaining “Noise Control Regulations 310 CMR 7.10.
I moved to Fall River from the City of Quincy. The noise ordinance in Quincy are taken seriously. Fall River should begin generating revenue with violators who have been warned at least once.
Neighbors/streets/residents should begin sharing the noise ordinances with neighbors and inform other residents, your/our street is what the residents allow it to become. After much labor, my street is pretty quiet.

What are the ordinances about chicken/quails? Quails are extremely quiet and I wanted to know if they had any ordinances related to poultry. Thank you!
