City of Fall River planning for sensory playground to be constructed at city playground

The brainchild of a Fall River man is coming to fruition.

On Thursday October 2nd, at 10:00 a.m. Mayor Paul E. Coogan and Mike Dion, Interim City Administration and Executive Director of Community Development Agency, will unveil plans for a sensory playground to be constructed at Abbott Court Playground.

The inspiration for this sensory play area comes from Marcel Riley, a city resident, who brought the idea to the administration after building his daughter her own sensory playground in their back yard.

Renderings of what the playground will look like will also be available for viewing.
