City of Fall River looking for volunteers to help elderly and disabled residents during wintry weather
Wintry weather can cause a host of problems, especially for the elderly and disabled. The City of Fall River is looking for volunteers to help ease those burdens.
During each snowstorm, the Mayor’s Office receives calls from elderly and disabled residents who need help with shoveling. At this time, the City does not have enough volunteers to meet the demand.
The City is asking the public to share this information or to sign-up onto the stand-by volunteer list for this season’s snow removal.
Signing up is NOT a commitment and you will only be contacted if there is a need. You can also sign up to only help residents in your neighborhood.
Help make a difference and keep our residents safe this winter!

How do you get help if needed?
I’m 67 and 1yr ago I had 3 strokes, and shortly after being released from hospital I was diagnosed with leukemia!
Is there a number to call if help is needed?
