City of Fall River announces roadwork that will impact travel
The City of Fall River Department of Community Utilities has announced a road closure due to an ongoing project in the city.
Work on the Cress Brook Drainage Project will begin on New Boston Road starting Monday, April 22, 2019.
The construction will be on New Boston Road between Phillips Street and North Eastern Avenue. This section of road will be closed when the construction requires. Local residents will have access to their properties. The westbound travel lane (north side of the street) will be open during non-construction hours. This work is expected to be complete by Friday, May 10, 2019.
Due to weather and the nature of underground construction these dates may be adjusted. Message boards will be in place in the area to notify residents of changes.
The department asks to follow detour routes during the closure.
