City of Fall River announces festivities for 250th anniversary free Stars & Stripes Festival

The City of Fall River is inviting the public to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a free Stars & Stripes Festival on Saturday, July 4th.

The event will feature live music, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and fireworks.

The festival will take place at three waterfront locations from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.:

  • DCR Fall River Heritage State Park
    DJ Eric J. will perform, along with airbrush tattoos and a variety of food options including Friskie Fries, Blount, Supa Dupa, Red’s RI, Tacofied, Perky Turkey, and Cool Licks Ice Cream.
  • Veterans Memorial Bicentennial Park
    DJ Ethan Laz will take the stage, with face painting by Faces of Freedom and food from Chick-fil-A, County Fare Hot Dogs, and Dorothy Cox Ice Cream.
  • Senator Thomas Norton City Pier
    Live music by Get Lucky Band. A wide selection of food vendors will be on site, including Troy City Brewery, Party with Primo, Pop’s Brick Oven Pizza, Turner Brothers, Del’s Lemonade, Sanixa’s Cuisine, Chicked Out Nuggz, Pit Stop Street Food, Berry Sweets, and BBQ Y Mas.

The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

The event is organized by the City of Fall River in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
