City of Fall River announces 40th Annual Children’s Holiday Parade, requests donations and participation
The City of Fall River is announcing the upcoming 40th Annual Children’s Holiday Parade. The parade will commence at Kennedy Park and proceed north along South Main Street to Sullivan Drive. The event is currently scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 12:30 pm in the City of Fall River.
Among the typical highlights of one of the largest Holiday Parades in New England is:
-A number of High School Bands throughout New England, Bagpipe Bands, Drum and Bugle Corps, Brass Bands, Giant Parade Balloons, Local Fire and Police Departments, Beautifully Decorated Floats and Large Vehicles, Marching Units, Vehicles, Bands and many costume characters
-Participation from the Fall River Public Schools and other local schools
In a statement, the city is actively seeking financial contributions and participation for the parade for it to continue.
“It is important to note that 100% of the funds raised will be allocated exclusively towards the direct costs of this event. We would like to emphasize that the parade is organized and executed entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers. This event serves as a unifying force, bringing together a diverse array of individuals, families, and friends during the holiday season. We kindly request your consideration for participation or a tax-deductible sponsorship to facilitate this remarkable and joyous occasion.”

Contributions can be made payable to the Holiday Parade Committee, Greater Fall River RE-CREATION, and should be submitted no later than November 12, 2024, to 45 Rock Street, Fall River, MA 02720.
