City of Fall River and Trustees Mobile Adventures invite Fall River families outdoors this month with free stunning nature trail walks
(FALL RIVER, MA) — The City of Fall River, in partnership with The Trustees, will host two free family-friendly nature walks as part of the Trustees Mobile Adventurer program.
This outdoor experience is designed to introduce families to the stunning nature trails within the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve, offering a perfect opportunity to enjoy fresh air, scenic beauty, and engaging educational activities in your own backyard.
Event Details:
Saturday, September 20th – Tattapanum Trail Nature Walk
Tattapanum Trail, Fall River
● Session 1: 9:00 AM
● Session 2: 10:30 AM
Explore this gentle, family-friendly loop trail featuring woodlands and ponds. Trustees educators will guide participants through fun, interactive nature activities, helping children and adults alike connect with the natural world around them.
Saturday, September 27th – Copicut Woods Nature Walk
Copicut Woods, Fall River
● Session 1: 9:00 AM
● Session 2: 10:30 AM
This walk highlights the ecological richness of Copicut Woods — a gateway to the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve. Participants will discover historic farmstead sites, native wildlife habitats, and forested trails perfect for family exploration.
Transportation:
Free trolley transportation will be available for those who need it, or families are welcome to drive themselves. Parking information and meeting locations will be provided upon registration.
What to Bring:
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress in layers. This event is rain or shine.
