City announces new additions, promotions, retirements for Fall River Fire Department
Additions, promotions, and retirements for the Fall River Fire Department were announced recently.
On Thursday afternoon, the City of Fall River welcomed two new members to the Fall River Fire Department: Firefighter Nathan Lowney and Firefighter Martin Parker Jr.
Several members of the FRFD were also recognized for their recent promotions. District Chief David Banville was pinned by his wife, Debra. Captain Michael Baldi received his pin from his son, Warren, while Captain Joshua Hetzler was pinned by his wife, Julianne. Lieutenant Michael LaFleur was honored by both his wife, Crystal, and their son, Austin. Lieutenant Charles Dionne was pinned by his wife, Megan.
In addition, citations and certificates—on behalf of the City Council and Mayor Paul Coogan—were presented to Retired Captain Francis O’ Reagan, Firefighter Michael Cusick, and Firefighter Andrew Cordeiro, in recognition of their leadership and service during a mutual aid response to Portsmouth, Rhode Island, in June.
