Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. announces opening date of Fall River location
A national restaurant chain is finally ready to open a new location for their Fall River area fans.
Chipotle Mexican Grill, who currently has area locations in North Dartmouth, Raynham, and Seekonk, was in front of the Fall River Licensing Board on September 15th, represented by the general manager of the future location, Samantha Benevides, for a Common Victualler License to be able to operate the soon-to-be eatery. Chipotle was granted the license pending building inspection.
Chipotle made the first move back in May when they submitted a site plan to the City Planner which was approved.
The restaurant specializes in burritos and tacos that are made to order right in front of the customer.
The restaurant chain is located at 575 Newton Street in a new 2,300 square foot building in the area of the Fall River Plaza that currently holds ALDI and Ocean State Job Lot on William S. Canning Blvd.
In addition to dining, the eatery also has a drive through window.
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. has told Fall River Reporter that the location will open on January 24th after a preliminary opening date that was previously set in December of 2021.
The hours of operation will be 10:45 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. 7 days a week.
