Chimney collapses on truck with person inside in Fall River

Authorities are investigating after a chimney collapsed on a truck in Fall River this morning.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., a call came into dispatch for a chimney collapsing on a vehicle on Barnaby Street.

A woman was inside of the truck at the time of the collapse. Thankfully, according to the victim’s daughter, the woman is ok.

“Thank God she was inside the vehicle and not outside.”

The daughter says that the chimney had been leaning badly for over 6 years and nothing had been done about it.
