Chick-fil-A opening in Fall River next week
Soon, Chick-fil-A will be adding Fall River to their list of locations.
With current offerings in Seekonk and South Attleboro, the restaurant chain will soon be taking orders from what used to be the empty parcel of land near the back of the lot at SouthCoast Marketplace.
Julie Gallagher is owner/operator of the soon-to-be Fall River location.
“I am humbled by this opportunity to create a positive and welcoming dining experience through this new restaurant, and I look forward to immersing myself in the Fall River community,” said Gallagher. “I am passionate about developing caring leaders with a strong work ethic to be a bright light in our communities.”
To recognize opening day on July 6th, Chick-fil-A Fall River has identified 100 local heroes making an impact in Fall River and will surprise this group with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, Chick-fil-A has partnered with Feeding America to make a $25,000 donation to a local food bank in honor of this new restaurant opening to aid in the fight against hunger. This will be in place of the traditional First 100 Grand Opening celebration. Additionally, Gallagher’s restaurant will be participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ Program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.
The restaurant will employ approximately 130 full- and part-time Team Members.
Chick-fil-A is known for, of course, chicken. The franchise states that they focus on in-store food preparation and serving chicken that is whole breast meat raised with no antibiotics, fillers or added hormones. Fresh produce is delivered several times a week. Salads are prepared to order throughout the day and their famous Chick-fil-A Lemonade® is prepared daily with lemon juice, pure cane sugar and water.
Fall River’s Chick-fil-A restaurant will operate between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with breakfast served from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and lunch and dinner served from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Locations are closed on Sundays so that employees can set aside one day to rest and worship if they choose. It is a tradition that they have upheld since founder Truett Cathy opened the first location in 1946.
