Cause of death determined after dead body discovered at North Park in Fall River
A dead body was found at North Park in Fall River on Saturday.
According to witnesses at the scene, Fall River Police, Fire, and an ambulance were at the baseball field at the park around midday. A white sheet could be seen tied around the dugout.
According to Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the death resulted from a fentanyl overdose.
No foul play is suspected.

Some of us older folk remember a high school classmate who was strangled to death in North Park about this time in 1975. Drugs were involved then too. The suspected killer was acquitted.
