Cathy Ann Viveiros out as City Administrator
According to Cathy Ann Viveiros, her time as the City Administrator is now over.
When we contacted Viveiros, she issued this statement.
“They are buying out my contract and accepting my resignation.”
According to Viveiros, the buyout and resignation is effective today.
Viveiros, who has been the City Administrator under Flanagan, Sutter, and Correia, launched a write-in campaign for mayor on October 16th, two days after Jasiel Correia II suspended his campaign and took a leave of absence as mayor of Fall River due to the charges he is facing and the distraction they were bringing to the city. She was defeated by Paul Coogan on November 5th.
Viveiros stated in several interviews during her campaign that she was concerned about the direction Fall River City Hall was headed under a Coogan administration.
It is currently unclear who would be filling the position.
