Bus drives through Massachusetts restaurant on Route 1
A restaurant was damaged, and a driver injured after a bus crashed into a restaurant Saturday.
According to Police Chief William Brooks, late last night at approximately 10:20 p.m., there was a crash at the Château Restaurant on Route 1 in Norwood.
Apparently, an empty school bus was leaving the parking lot and collided with a vehicle coming northbound on the highway. The collision caused the bus to get turned and it went back through the parking lot and into the front of the restaurant.
Brooks stated that there were no passengers on the bus, and the driver was not injured. The driver of the car was transported to the hospital, but the injuries were not serious.
