On September 8, 2020, Brockton Police responded to a 911 call reporting a pregnant woman shot in the head at an apartment on 622 North Main Street. Police and emergency medical personnel found the victim inside the apartment building with a single gunshot wound to the temple. She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital and later airlifted to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for treatment.
Brockton Police initiated an investigation, discovering a blood trail leading to the apartment where three young children were found. As officers escorted the children out, one identified Holiday as their father. Holiday was on the sidewalk, receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to his left forearm.
