Bristol Police Department responds to accident that shuts down roadway due to boat

Something that you don’t see every day resulted in the shutdown of a local road.

At just after 2:30 p.m., the Bristol Police Department announced that Metacom Avenue at Michael Drive was closed northbound due to a motor vehicle accident involving a boat trailer.

The boat could be seen in the middle of the road

At approximately 3:00 p.m., it was announced that traffic was re-opened.

No word on any injuries.
