Bristol County rollover crash sends multiple people to Rhode Island trauma center

Multiple people were rushed to a local trauma center after a Bristol County rollover crash on Wednesday.

According to the Mansfield Firefighter Union, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Engine 31, Engine 32, Rescue 35, Rescue 36, and Car 35 were dispatched to the area 15 Reservoir Street (Aroma Joe’s) for a motor vehicle crash.

Companies located a single vehicle on its roof with two patients entrapped. Both patients were extricated utilizing the jaws of life.

Rescue 35 and 36 transported both patients to the Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center for further evaluation.

The accident is under investigation by the Mansfield Police Department.

The union thanked mutual aid partners, Easton Firefighters Local 2790 IAFF for providing an engine company to cover their East Street station during the incident.
