Bristol County motorcycle crash results in serious, life-threatening injuries, MedFlight transport

A motorcycle rider was injured after a Bristol County crash on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the fire department, at just before 3:00 p.m., Southeastern Massachusetts Regional Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a MVA involving a motorcycle and car at the intersection of North Main and South Main streets in Mansfield.

On arrival, Mansfield Fire Department companies found a motorcycle rider that suffered serious injuries due to the crash. The rescue crew on scene called for Boston MedFlight to land at the landing zone at the High School. Medflight transported a 23-year-old man to Mass General Hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

The Easton Fire Department provided mutual aid support at the landing zone due to crews being tied up with a separate medical emergency at the same time.

The accident is under investigation by the Mansfield Police Department.
