Bristol County middle school student being remembered, services announced, after dying suddenly
A Bristol County middle school student has passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.
13-year-old Lillian Costello of Norton, died on Tuesday at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, Lilly was a seventh-grade student at the Norton Middle School and a proud member of the Student Council. She also enjoyed being a member of the Photography Club and participated in cheerleading.
Family members say that Lilly will always be remembered for living life to its fullest, her love for music, spending time at the pond and as a talented nail artist. Family was everything for Lilly who loved her dog “Athena” and cat “Bubbles”.
A friend described Costello as a funny and sweet.
An obituary stated that relatives and friends are invited to attend Lilly’s visiting hours on Tuesday, October 15th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 16th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial will follow at the Newland Cemetery in Norton.
Lilly’s sister Cassandra expressed appreciation for the support from the community via the GoFundMe.
“Our family is looking for help covering funeral costs, because of how unexpected this loss was we were not prepared for this. We thank you for kindness, love and support in this time. We understand not everybody can afford donations, just please keep Lilly in your prayers.”
