Bristol County District Attorney releases name of 69-year-old killed in weekend highway crash

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III announced that Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office responded to a motor vehicle fatality on 95 South in Attleboro.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening, Massachusetts State Police Troopers from the Foxboro Barracks received calls regarding a serious single motor vehicle crash on 95 South near mile marker 2.6 in Attleboro. 

Upon arrival, Troopers located a grey Toyota Corolla near the wood line that had struck a tree.

  The lone occupant and operator of the vehicle, 69-year-old James Hobbs of Dorchester, MA was located with serious injuries. 

Hobbs was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
