Bristol County District Attorney releases identities of two killed in crash near Westport, Dartmouth line that also injured two others

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has announced the identities of the decedents in the double motor vehicle fatality on Route 6 in the area of the Westport/Dartmouth last evening. 

Dartmouth and Westport Police were dispatched at approximately 7:35 pm on Friday, July 10, 2026, to Route 6 after receiving 911 calls regarding a motor vehicle crash. 

Upon arrival, police located two motor vehicles. One, a blue Toyota Camry Sedan, was located with catastrophic damage. 

The male operator of the Camry, identified as 34-year-old Tristan Bedient of Acushnet, MA, and female passenger, identified as 51-year-old Kate Aldrich of New Bedford, MA, were transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased a short time later. 

The second vehicle, a SAAB sedan, was located with two occupants who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into this matter is active and ongoing by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office along with the Massachusetts State Police, Dartmouth Police and Westport Police.
