Bristol County District Attorney identifies name of 29-year-old killed in crash on I-195

A Bristol County man is dead after an early morning highway crash.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, on Friday, at approximately 1:21 a.m. Seekonk Police and EMS and Massachusetts State Police responded to a 911 call reporting a vehicle crash in the wooded median at a high rate of speed near mile marker 2.4 in Seekonk on I-195 West. 

Upon arrival, police located a silver Honda Fit with catastrophic damage in the center of the wooded area in the median.  The vehicle was found to have struck several trees. 

Police located the driver and sole occupant, 29-year-old Joseph Gagliardi of Seekonk, in the grass median with significant injuries. Gagliardi was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS. 

This crash is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police, Seekonk Police and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
