Bristol County District Attorney identifies 67-year-old man killed in collision on Route 6
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has announced the identity of a pedestrian killed in a Friday afternoon collision.
According to the DA, New Bedford Police and EMS responded to the area of Route 6 and Pleasant Street at approximately 5:00 p.m. based upon a report that a pedestrian had been struck at that intersection.
First responders located the victim who was identified as 67-year-old Robert Randall who resided in New Bedford, lying on the roadway a short distance from the intersection. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The operator of the vehicle involved remained on scene and rendered aid to the victim.
The investigation into the crash is being coordinated by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office along with the New Bedford Police Department.
