Bristol County District Attorney, Fall River Police investigating fatal hit-and-run bicycle collision that claimed life of 34-year-old
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has announced a fatal collision with a bicycle in Fall River yesterday that claimed the life of 34-year-old Jordan Lyttle of Fall River, MA.
At approximately 5:15 p.m., Fall River police responded to the area of 214 Stafford Road for a bicyclist who was struck by a motor vehicle.
Upon arrival, troopers located Lyttle on the roadway who had suffered significant injury. He was transported for treatment and was pronounced deceased a few hours later.
Initial investigation revealed that Lyttle was riding a bicycle on Stafford Road when he was struck from behind by a green 2005 Subaru Legacy that fled the scene. A second vehicle was also involved as Lyttle entered the opposite lane of travel after being struck by the Subaru. The second vehicle remained on scene.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is being coordinated by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office along with the Fall River Police Department.
