Bristol County District Attorney announces identity of victim and suspect in Fall River fatal stabbing, mental health evaluation ordered
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has identified the stabbing victim of the recent Fall River homicide.
53-year-old Luis Xavier Perez Miranda resided in apartment #2 at 57 Chesworth Street in Fall River.
The suspect has also been identified as 48-year-old Robert Hodgson Jr.
Hodgson is expected to be arraigned this afternoon in the Fall River District Court on a murder charge.
Fall River Police received a 911 call at approximately 2:15 a.m. this morning. The caller indicated that someone had been stabbed and killed at 57 Chesworth Street in Fall River.
Upon arrival, Fall River Police and EMS located Miranda with injury to his chest.
He was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Hodgson’s arraignment was postponed to Tuesday pending a mental health evaluation for competency to stand trial. He is currently held without bail.
