Bristol County District Attorney announces arrest made in murder of 33-year-old Jhonny Lajoie of Taunton

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has announced that a 26-year-old has been taken into custody for the May 4, 2024, murder of 33-year-old Jhonny Lajoie at 155 Highland Avenue in Taunton. 

Manny Pina of Taunton, MA has been charged with Murder and Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm.

At around 9:45 a.m., Taunton Police were dispatched to 155 Highland Street for a report of a deceased male in a furnished shed.  Upon arrival on scene, investigators determined the victim had been shot to death.

An arraignment is expected in the Taunton District Court today at approximately 2:00 pm today.  

This case is being prosecuted by the Deputy Chief of Homicides, Assistant District Attorney Jason Mohan.
