Bristol County District Attorney: 18-year-old held without bail in shooting that seriously injured 16-year-old

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has announced that 18-year-old Anthony Lopes of Brockton, MA, was arraigned Monday afternoon in the Taunton District Court on charges of Assault and Battery by Discharging a Firearm, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of a High-Capacity Firearm and Armed Robbery in connection with the shooting of a 16-year-old female victim on January 14, 2025, in Easton, MA.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., Easton Police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at an apartment complex on Robert Drive. The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival.
Upon arrival, officers located a teenage female suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported by an Easton Fire ambulance to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, then flown by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
She remains in serious but stable condition in a Boston-area hospital.
Lopes is held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing that is scheduled for 2/7/2025.
