Bristol County DA identifies 22-year-old man killed in Dartmouth crash that also injured another

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has announced a single vehicle motor vehicle fatality that occurred on Sunday on Old Fall River Road in Dartmouth. 

Dartmouth Police and EMS were dispatched to the area of 899 Old Fall River Road shortly after 4:30 p.m. 

Upon arrival, police located a green Toyota Corolla facing westbound on the eastbound side of the roadway off in the woods.  The vehicle had struck a tree and sustained severe damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. 

The operator, a 23-year-old female, was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.  Police and EMS located an unresponsive male in the passenger seat of the vehicle suffering from severe injuries.  The passenger, identified as 22-year-old Christopher Canario of Dartmouth, was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. 

The investigation into this matter is ongoing by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police, and the Dartmouth Police Department.
