DeAngelo Johnson, of Mansfield, MA, was sentenced by the Honorable Thomas Perrino to a State Prison sentence of 25 to 35 years followed by 15 years of supervised probation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Canan Yesilcimen and Kalene Kobza.  The Commonwealth requested a State Prison sentence of 30 to 45 years. The defendant requested a State Prison sentenced of 10 to 15 years.

Between the dates of September 21, 2017, and November 2024, Johnson repeatedly sexually molested and raped two close female relatives when they were between the ages of 10-16 at his residence in Norton and Mansfield.  In addition, Johnson on multiple occasions sexually molested and abused five female juvenile friends of his close female relatives who were under the age of fourteen.  Johnson often sexually abused the young female juvenile victims at night when they were sleeping.

“The defendant sexually abused two close family members and five of their friends.  The defendant is clearly a predator and has a very disturbed and perverted mind.  I am pleased that the defendant plead guilty and accepted responsibility and spared the victims from having to testify.  The sentences imposed by the court, totaling 35 years are well deserved.  I commend the victim’s courage in coming forward and persevering through this most difficult ordeal.  I hope and pray that they can move forward with their lives.,” District Attorney Tom Quinn said.
